Karachi: Firing during literary event, attacker killed

According to details, some unidentified persons, travelling in a car, opened indiscriminate firing in Do Talwar locality in Karachi near an area where a literary event was being held. The firing damaged three vehicles. Police returned the fire which injured one of attackers who was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.Panic gripped the area after the firing and the literary event was also stopped for some time. According to police the dead attacker was identified as Kamran, a resident of Shah Rasool Colony. Police have also arrested five suspects in connection with the firing incident.Earlier, some unidentified persons resorted to Intermittent firing when the dead body of the attacker was brought to Zia-ud-Din Hospital, forcing police to move the body to Jinnah Hospital.
