Oil Tankers Association to go on strike from Monday

According to the association, OGRA has announced 45 percent increase in fares of oil tankers in April 2011. However, the payment is being made on old rates.The tankers owners have alleged that no step has been taken by the higher authorities despite the fact that the issue has been brought in notice of OGRA.Talking to Dunya News, Chairman Oil Tankers Owners Association, Akram Durani, said that they presented 22 points which needed to be resolved. He said that more than 25,000 oil tankers are being used to supply oil in different parts of the country.The oil tankers owners said their value will be felt when they will halt supply of oil from Monday.
