SC moved to put ISI chief name on ECL

Supreme Court on Tuesday was moved to put the name of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lieutenant General Ahmed Shuja Pasha on exit control list.The petition filed by missing persons’ counsel Tariq Asad Advocate said Pasha is responsible for thousands people going missing, as these people were removed at his behest.The petition states that Pasha is also responsible for the other people also going missing from Adyala jail.The petitioner pleaded the court that Director General of the premier spy agency, after his retirement slated on March 18, may go abroad; hence, there will be difficulty in bringing the facts to the fore from him being out of the country. Therefore, his name needs to be put on the ECL, the petition said.Ahmed Shuja Pasha will retire from service on March 18.
