Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, the first Pakistani Oscar winner for ‘Saving Face’ documentary, said his film would be released in Pakistan only if those women would be given protection who acted in it.She told the media that she has started campaign against acid attacks on women to create awareness among the womenfolk.She said that acid is a dreadful item, which has nothing to do with Islamic and Pakistani culture. The passage of bill by the parliament against acid throwing on women has been appreciated in the whole world.She said that it is evident for the success of the file ‘Saving face’ that it was shown throughout the world on the eve of International Women’s Day.She said that she tried to tell the people that Pakistani women are capable of resolving their problems. She said that winning the award is a matter of pride and honour for the entire Pakistani nation.“When the award ceremony was commenced, I was bit confused.
