(Dunya News) – While consuming strawberry is nothing short of a delight in itself, picking your strawberries from the fields has its own charm.
In Islamabad’s Chak Shehzad, special strawberry fields have become the centre of attraction for children and adults who visit the area to pick the pink fruit from the fields.
Strawberry, the fruit of spring and queen of the fields, is not just delicious but the bright-coloured mouthwatering fruit is packed with nutrients and Vitamin C.

Speaking to Dunya News, children said that they often eat strawberry purchased from the market. However, having come to the fields on their own, they enjoyed the experience of picking the fruit themselves.
In comparison to other parts of Punjab, Islamabad’s strawberry fields ripen in the month of March. With a painstaking procedure from plowing to fruit picking, growing strawberry is worth all the effort.

“We bring strawberry seeds from Swat, and the entire procedure of growing strawberries takes four to five months,” said strawberry farmers. According to them the plants stops fruiting after the month of April.
