(Dunya News) – Diplomats, artists and a large number of people hailing from different fields attended the CPEC Cultural Carnival which was held in Islamabad over the weekend.
A celebration of Pak-China friendship, the event featured stalls, items and eateries reflecting the culture and tradition of both the countries. Pakistani and Chinese artists also performed in each other’s languages to celebrate friendship between both the countries.

The festival also included stalls offering Pakistani as well as Chinese cuisine. From Peshawar’s Chapli kebab, qahwa to Chinese dumplings, mouthwatering eatables remained the centre of attraction of the festival with people thronging to these stalls.

Stalls displaying traditional clothes attracted many women visitors while local music kept the environment lively for those visiting the cultural festival.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the cultural carnival was a union honouring the ties between both the countries. She said CPEC is a cultural exchange corridor and will also pave way for people-to-people contact.
The festival also offered a platform to give the people of Pakistan an insight into the Chinese culture.
