(Dunya News) – Colourful kites filled the sky of Karachi as the sounds of ‘bokata’ echoed in the air with Karachities participating in a one-day Basant festival held at the Golf Club.
Visitors indulged in kite flying where the old and the young took charge of their kites and flew them high.
Speaking to Dunya News, visitors expressed their sheer joy and happiness, saying the day allowed them to fly kites - a practice that has for long symbolised the arrival of spring.

The festival of kites was packed with entertainment and food, where some enjoyed music others feasted on various types of mouthwatering food.
People admired the event and said this kind of festival not only gave them a chance to enjoy kite flying safely but also gave them a peace of mind.
