Actress Kate Beckinsale joined her co-stars at the iconic Graumans Chinese Theatre in Hollywood Thursday night for the red carpet premiere of the action thriller, Underworld Awakening.The film is a reunion of sorts for Beckinsale, the star of the first two movies, who returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene in the fourth film in the franchise. Beckinsales character, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.The actress explained that her busy schedule did not leave a lot of time to get ready.We had very little time because we were actually shooting Contraband right up until I started this movie. I tend to do a lot of yoga so that tended to help and what helped me not get injured in the movie.Underworld Awakening is the first film in the franchise to shoot in 3D.The film opens on Friday, January 20.
