Vidya Balan booked for 'indecent' exposure

On the direction of an Indian court that Hyderabad police have registered an FIR against actress Vidya Balan, following a complaint by an advocate, who alleged that she had posed for indecent photographs on the posters and promos of the film The Dirty Picture.The complainant, Sai Krishna Azad, a practising advocate, had last month approached the Nampally court here and filed a petition, in which, he had alleged that the posters and promos of the film were obscene and were causing inconvenience to women in the Nallakunta area and other parts of Hyderabad. The petitioner had further alleged that the posters and hoardings of the film were spoiling the minds of the youth and causing harm to the society.A direction was sought from the court to the police for registering a case against Balan, after which, the court directed the Nallakunta Police to investigate on the complaint and file a status report before it, Azad said.
