Beauty pageants from across world visit Sikh shrine

Beauty pageants from across the world paid obeisance at the holiest Sikh shrine, the Golden Temple in northern Indias Punjab state.The 2010 Miss Universe Participant, Claudia Arce Lemaitre, from Bolivia along with various other beauty pageant winners visited the place on the invitation of a local social organisation.Jennipha Lauren Nielsen, Miss California World International said that she was humbled with the beauty of the place and affection of the locals.Coming to the Golden temple was fulfilling a promise to myself I made eight years ago. I find Sikhs to be a very impressive group of people and I feel truly humbled and honoured to be here. It meant a lot, said Nielsen.Denis Garido, Miss Canada was awestruck and mesmerized with the beauty of Golden temple.Well, I had heard about the Golden Temple but to see it live was just absolutely breath taking. So, it is one thing to see a thing in pictures but to see it in person is a completely different experience.
