Oprah to appear live on Facebook

Oprah Winfrey plans a live interview on Facebook next week. The TV talk show queen will change seats with the audience for this rare interview. This time, Oprah will be answering the questions.While the twist in this interview will be new to Oprah, she is quite familiar with Facebook. Her Oprah Winfrey Facebook page is liked by more than 6.2 million fans.In addition to the interview, Oprah will meet with local tech industry representatives to discuss social media and the newly launched Oprah Winfrey Network.Fans are encouraged to share their questions for Oprah now. The live webcast can be seen on Facebook Live on Sept. 8.Winfrey also has a strong following on rival site Twitter which to date has some 7.2 million followers, interestingly as digitiallife.today.com reported, she is the 12th most followed person on a global scale. Unfortunately user numbers on her official Oprah.com website have been falling since her TV show ended in May. Talks are in full swing between the star, Twitter’s top man Dick Costolo, Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg and others to find ways to up user traffic.
