Summary A function was held in Karachi in order to raise funds for treatment of singer Mehdi Hassan.
The fundraising event was held at the Karachi Arts Council for the greatest of the singers who earned the title of “The King of Ghazals” in the subcontinent. Mehdi Hassan was accorded a rousing welcome on arrival to attend the function. A large of actors and artists attended graced the occasion amongst a host of the singer’s fans.Rendition of Mehdi’s popular songs and ghazals from the past enthralled the audience. The actors and artists paid a rich tribute to Mehdi Hassan and appealed to the government to look after the asset of the country in the time of need.
