ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that artists are ambassadors of peace and they played a vital role in promoting peace in the society.
She was addressing the 10th meeting of the Administrative Committee of Pakistan Culture and Arts Foundation Relief Fund in Islamabad.
She said acknowledging contribution of artists is imperative as they rendered invaluable services in promoting the culture of tolerance, harmony and coexistence in society.
Taking notice of the appeal for assistance by renowned TV artist Majid Jehangir, she directed the concerned authorities to redress his grievances by meeting his financial requirements.
