(Web Desk) – Aishwarya Rai Bachan has reportedly asked for Rs 100 million cut for playing the lead in Indian remake of 1967 film titled ‘Raat Aur Din’.
According to a private telly channel, producer of the film has agreed to the demand and the film will go on floors soon.
The film is reported to have borrowed title of the original film ‘Raat Aur Din’ and lead female role was played by then superstar Nargis.
Critics have said that Aishwarya would have to pull her socks up to fill in the late superstar’s shoes.
Rai is to play a double role character in the film and requires to prep for Prerna Arora film. It should be noted here that Arora is also producing Fanney Khan starring Anil Kapoor, Rajkumar Rao and Aishwarya Rai.
Her performance in Raat Aur Din had made late Nargis win National Award for Best Actress in 1968.
