Summary Lindsay Lohan pleaded not guilty to stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Los Angeles jewelry store. She believed the necklace was on loan.
In januray, Lindsay Lohan who walked out of a Los Angeles jewelry store without paying for a gold designer necklace was accused of theft. this happened weeks after she was released from her a rehab. Lohan was charged with a single count of felony grand theft. If convicted, prosectors siad that the star could be sent to prison for up to three years.Lohan’s lawyer entered the not guilty plea for the actress in front of a packed courtroom. She posted bail of $20,000 and left the courthouse. According to her friends, Lohan believed the necklace was on loan. Already having 5 stints in three years, this was the most serious allegation yet against the actress. Her latest stint in rehab cost her, the lead role in a planned movie about 1970s porn star Linda Lovelace. If convicted of the theft charge, she would also be in violation of probation, which would mean even more jail time for the troubled actress.
