Summary Abhijeet Bhattacharya has repeatedly given statements against Aamir Khan and other Muslims
MUMBAI: (Dunya News) – Known for his anti-Muslim rants in the past, extremist Indian Hindu singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has on Friday once again lashed out at Indian film star Aamir Khan, saying that he won’t spent even one rupee for Aamir starrer movies, reported Dunya News.
Abhijeet is known for his anti-Muslim leanings. How could he hold himself from issuing hateful statements against Aamir Khan on this occasion? Sharing a letter written by some freelance writer on his Facebook page, Abhijeet Bhattacharya said that the words were the voice of ‘every Indian heart’.
Not only did Abhijeet share the post issuing hateful sermons against Aamir Khan on Facebook, he was ‘hypocrite’ enough to remove the post from his Facebook page after receiving some reality check in the comments section from the fellow Indians. Interesting thing here is that the letter had termed Aamir Khan a hypocrite instead.
"Your name is Khan and you Sir, are a hypocrite.
You did not scream intolerance when your city burned at the hands of some of your co-religionists. Your wife did not feel insecure when a mammoth crowd of some of your co-religionists attended the funeral of a hanged terrorist. You were silent even when a mob from Reza Academy kicked and destroyed a national memorial and manhandled female cops.
But now, suddenly, your wife feels insecure in India and wants you to move out.
If I WERE indeed intolerant, I would suggest you move to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the safest place on earth, where Begum Kiran Rao can feel absolutely secure inside her abaya and your little son can grow up watching public executions in a Riyadh square.
But I am not going to do that. As a tolerant Indian, the only thing I can and WILL do is to make sure that not even one rupee of my hard-earned money goes towards buying tickets for your movies. Thanks for the disappointments."
It is pertinent to mention here that this is not the first time Abhijeet has shown his anti-Muslim leanings. The singer had once refused to sit in a program as a judge when came to know that a Pakistani was also among the contestants. He even went on to call Atif Aslam in one of such shows a singer who knows nothing about singing. However, Atif gave him a befitting response by singing live on another such show in India, putting Abhijeet and likes to shame.
Some magazines in India took pains to clear out Abhijeet s name in the case, saying that the words were not Abhijeet s and he had only shared the post. The fact remains that Abhijeet shared it, thus endorsing the sentiment. He went as far as claiming on Twitter that the words were the voice of every Indian heart . One such magazine even tried to cover his name by reminding the readers that Abhijeet had spoken in favor of another Muslim star Salman Khan when the latter was booked in a case for hitting and running a person sleeping on the road back in early 2000 s. The magazine failed to mention that the person who had died on the road was also a Muslim and Abhijeet equated him with a dog for sleeping on the road.
Communal tensions are on a rise in India and the recent Aamir Khan statement has created a lot of controversy during the recent days. Although politicians and Bollywood stars have spoken in Aamir s favor, many have spoken against him too.
