(Web Desk) – In a bid to promote reading and publishing of books, the World Book Day is celebrated globally on April 23.
The day is celebrated by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO). World Book Day was celebrated for the first time in 1995.
The day is celebrated to encourage the habit of reading. In Pakistan, reading is on the decline.
