Summary Punjab Teachers’ Union has condemned the decision of charging extra amount.

 

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education has decided to charge additional RS 300 as admission form processing fee from students.


It has been learnt that RBISE along with 8 other educational boards of Punjab has decided to increase the admission form processing fee from Rs 200 to Rs 500 for Matric, FA, F.SC students.


Punjab government after announcing exemption of fees of children of government schools had announced that annual grant would be issued for filling the gap of exemption of fees. However since past 3 years no grant has been given to the educational boards due to which they are facing financial crunch.


In order to cover their losses and for expenditures the boards have increased fees of private candidates.


Meanwhile, the Punjab Teachers Union has condemned the decision of charging processing fee and have warned to launch agitation movement if the decision is not taken back
