Summary PSF will pay homage to renowned poet Ghulam Hasnain Bukhari today who composed poetry on science.
ISLAMABAD:-In order to pay rich tribute to the Ghulam Hasnain Bukhari, Pakistan Science Foundation has arranged a sitting in connection with his poetry on Thursday.
Renowned poet and writer Iftikhar Arif will preside over the event while Ejaz Rahim will be the chief guest. Ali Hussain Naqvi, Dr Hamid Saleem, Sarfraz Shahid, broadcaster Kosar Samreen and Dr Anwar Nasim will express their views on literary contributions of Mr Bukhari.
PSF Chairman Professor Dr Manzoor Hussain Soomro talking to Online said the PSF is constantly exploring different ways and means for promotion and popularisation of science and arranging a literary sitting is a new vision to create awareness among masses about the importance of science for development of the country.
Writers, poets and intellectuals have direct contact with masses through their writings, adding that their role in revolutionising the society is of immense importance, he said, adding, PSF will benefit from their works to promote science. People interested in scientific poetry are welcome to attend the evening.
The PSF working under the umbrella of Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of Pakistan has the honor of initiating the science popularisation concept in Pakistan. Over the years science popularization programms are being organised to promote science and technology in the country.
