KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi police have arrested two suspected robbers following an encounter near the Hussaini Orphanage in the Jamshed Quarters area, on Tuesday.
According to police sources, the suspects were apprehended during a brief exchange of fire with the Jamshed Quarters police. One of the suspects was injured in the encounter, while the other was taken into custody unharmed.
Police identified the injured suspect as Hakeem, who was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medical treatment. The second suspect, Faheem, has been transferred to the local police station for further interrogation.
Law enforcement officials claimed to have recovered a pistol, three mobile phones, cash, and a motorcycle used in criminal activities from the possession of the suspects.
Police said investigations are underway to determine whether the arrested men were involved in other incidents of street crime in the city.
