Says police are in a state of war and will take strong counter-action in the event of terrorist attacks
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Zulfiqar Hameed has said the police are in a state of war and will take strong counter-action in the event of terrorist attacks.
In view of the security situation in the province, the IG has issued instructions to all RPOs and DPOs, stating that a security audit should be conducted of all sensitive locations, police installations, courts, educational institutions, jails, police stations and other important installations across the province.
According to the text of the guideline, establish a double security system at some distance from all facilities and buildings through a robust security mechanism, so that in the event of any untoward incident, the security personnel can thwart the nefarious intentions of the miscreants.
The number of check posts should be increased at all entry and exit points of the province, police patrols should be activated on a daily basis, an action plan should be formulated at the regional and district levels for intelligence sharing, and immediate exchange of information should be ensured with all intelligence agencies of the province and the CTD.
The IG added regional and district police officers should check the security arrangements of the Police Training College Hangu, Elite Police Training Centre Nowshera, and police training and specialised schools.
