Three water theft networks uncovered in Karachi

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Water and Sewerage Board conducted operation in Paposh Nagar area of Karachi and uncovered three water theft networks. Water thieves had set up pumping stations in two residential buildings.

According to details, MD Water Board Asad Ullah Khan led the operation. Police and Water Board staff uncovered a pumping station in a building located at backside of police station.

During the operation, another two storey building was discovered where the pumping station was located and samples of stolen water were also recovered.

Another operation was carried out in Paposh area and second water theft network was uncovered, where fresh water was being stolen from a four-inch line.

According to Water Board officials, water thieves will be punished.
