FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - A woman survived narrowly after being allegedly set on fire by her own husband and in-laws in the Dijkot area of Faisalabad.
The 25-year-old Madiha suffered bruises and was admitted to the Allied Hospital. Media reports told that Madiha had domestic dispute with her in-laws and husband Munir.
Munir and his family used petrol to set Madiha on fire. Luckily, she was rescued and admitted to the burn centre. Madiha accused her in-laws of threatening her and causing trouble between the pair.
Madiha s family also accused her in-laws of causing domestic disturbances in past.
On the other hand, Munir and his family claimed that Madiha set herself on fire without any reason. They rejected all allegations levelled against them.
Police registered the case against Munir and took him under custody. They told that they will investigate the matter soon.
