Intezar murder case: CTD takes custody of suspects from police

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Tuesday has taken custody of as many as eight suspects arrested in the murder of 19-year-old Intezar Ahmed from police.

DIG CTD Amir Farooq said that case file has also been sought from the police while he will personally meet Intezar’s family today. Reservations of victim’s parents will be eliminated, he assured.

Amir Farooq further said that investigation from every suspicious man will be carried out.

Intezar’s father has expressed satisfaction over investigation process and demanded to also interrogate from Madeeha Kiyani, the girl who was accompanying Intezar when he was killed.

Earlier, as many as eight detained police officers appeared before the court during which, the judge was requested to extend their physical remand.

At least 13 bullets were fired at Intezar’s vehicle in the night because he allegedly did not follow instructions to stop by anti-car lifting personnel, the officer told the court.

Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Murad Ali Shah had called on bereaved family of Intezar Ahmed at the residence and offered his condolences, assuring the grieving parents that the perpetrators in the case would be brought to justice.
