FAISALABAD (Dunya News) – Burglars and muggers in Faisalabad have cost Rs one billion to citizens in the proceeding year.
According to the details, thieves and robbers in the city looted the citizens’ valuables worth Rs 1 billion in 1300 robberies throughout the year. The robbers killed 13 and injured more than a hundred of citizens in total who resisted the criminal attempts.
The details suggest that 316 people were killed and 297 were injured in attempted murders. The ongoing year saw 198 car thefts and 931 motorcycles theft while police CPO view this year as better than the previous year with regard to police performance and crime rate.
As for police encounters throughout the year, police killed 14 culprits while 4 policemen were also martyred in action.
On the other hand, police failed to arrest 72 wanted criminals while 820 escapees could also not be recaptured.
The citizens of Faisalabad have given mixed reviews of police performance in the ongoing year while police claims to be actively engaged in apprehending culprits and maintaining rule of law in the city.
