KARACHI (Dunya News)- Sindh government on Friday has slapped ban on sale of toy guns under section-144 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Despite ban, toy guns are easily available in Karachi’s wholesale toy market while shopkeepers terming ban merely a ‘show off action’.
Kalashnikov, TT, 9MM and various other toy guns are being sold openly in the market with demand soars in during Eid days.
Social analysts term sale/purchase of toy guns dangerous as these toys induce children towards violent trends. Similarly, many such incidents have been reported in which dacoits looted residents via use of aforementioned toys.
