PFA arrests shopkeeper, recovers 10,000 dead chickens in Lahore

LAHORE (Daily Dunya) – The officers of Punjab Food Authority arrested shopkeeper and recovered at least 10,000 dead chickens during raid in Begum Kot.

Police said that the suspects were running a food outlet with the name of Hafiz Chargha.

Moreover, a case has also been lodged against the apprehended culprit for proper investigation.

Earlier, Punjab Food Authority foiled an attempt of supplying more than 1200kg substandard meat in Lahore and arrested two suspects. The authorities on a tip off received stopped a car and a mini truck at a check post near EME Society and recovered unhygienic meat.

PFA also seized at least 200kg meat in Lahore’s Thokar Niaz Baig area. Livestock authorities said that the dead animals’ meat was brought to Lahore from out of station. As many as seven culprits were arrested in the operation.
