Earlier, a pilot of the national airline was suspended after an inquiry into allegations of giving an exclusive tour to a woman passenger.

PIA has been hit by a number of appalling incidents in the recent past including once when a pilot fell asleep after shifting the controls his subordinate.

However, PK-785 was cleared to take off for London after the operation. Last month, at least 15 kg of heroin was seized in a flight at Karachi airport.
