HYDERABAD (Daily Dunya) – Action against smuggled cigarettes is continued under Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) across the country as the officers confiscated drugs during a raid.
On a tip off, Additional Commissioner at regional tax office Shamim Murtaza along with two assistant commissioners conducted an operation in Hyderabad and recovered cigarettes and Indian gutka worth millions.
The officer said that the drugs were taken into custody due to lack of health warning which indicated that they were manufactured at local level.
He also said that no tax was paid on their production.
