LAHORE: (Dunya News) – One more dies of honour disease in Pakistan as a brother in Lahore on Thursday killed his sister during a Panchayat hearing for her love marriage attempt, reported Dunya News.
Shazia, resident of Shafiqabad, had been married to a person named Hassan four years ago. The two couldn’t get along and she came back to her father’s home. Meanwhile, she fell in love with another man who wasn’t acceptable to the family and the relatives.
Shazia fled her home along with her lover. The family somehow convinced her to come back home and then her brother Akram killed her during Panchayat. Shazia died at the spot while two other relatives got injured.
Police arrived on the scene and started investigation. Officials say that the real reasons behind the murder could only surface after the investigation. Shazia was killed during Panchayat at Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) office in UC-56.
Police had no idea about the Panchayat and all the members of the Panchayat fled the scene immediately after the incident.
