Summary Court sentenced culprit to 2-year imprisonment, 30,000 fine for sharing women's pictures on internet
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – First cybercrime case was on Tuesday decided, sentencing the culprit to 2-year imprisonment and fine of Rs 30,000 for sharing women’s photos on the internet, reported Dunya News.
The case was heard by Additional District and Session Judge in Lahore. According to the charge sheet presented by Federal Investigation Agency before the court, Yasir Latif used to display women’s photos on the internet and written complaints had been filed by the parents of those women.
Yasir told the court that the allegations were baseless and someone else had uploaded those photos from his account.
After listening to the arguments from both the sides, the court decided against Yasir and sentenced him to 2-year imprisonment along with Rs 30,000 fine.
