MULTAN (Dunya News) – A joint operation conducted by the police, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies against terrorist groups present in Southern Punjab region resulted in the apprehension of 205 individuals, reported Dunya News.
The arrested individuals have been shifted to undisclosed locations for interrogation purposes.
Police officials stated that in order to cater the terrorist groups thriving in the region, operations led by the police and intelligence agencies will be carried out in Multan and other areas of Southern Punjab until terrorism is completely wiped out from the region.
The decision of the civil and military leadership of the country regarding the expansion of the area of operations against the militant groups in Southern Punjab is being appreciated by the public in the form of processions, resulting in the increase of the morale of the law enforcing institutions.
