Summary Special Branch revealed that an ASP is found to be ring leader of drug dealer gang

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Special Branch of Sindh Police has revealed on Friday that an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Bilal Qayyum is found to be the ring leader of a drug dealer gang, reported Dunya News.

An inquiry report has been sent to Karachi Police Chief in which it has been revealed that Bilal Qayyum used to take share from the smuggling of Iranian petrol and diesel. ASP Qayyum was posted in Kemari. It is reported that he is a close relative of a top bureaucrat.

Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South, Dr. Jamil has denied the allegations on ASP Qayyum. According to Dr. Jamil, DIG Aleem Jafri has been given the investigation of the report against ASP Qayyum. Jamil told that Aleem Jafri will prepare the investigation report and present it to Inspector General of Police (IG), Sindh.

Dr Jamil said that this report has been made by a Sub-Inspector of Special Branch to which he has not been informed. He said that if the report is false then action will be taken against the said Sub-Inspector.
