Summary The woman tells court that Tariq is her legal husband as she never married another man Imran.

Islamabad July 24 (Online): The Supreme Court has declared the order of Lahore High Court null and void and termed it against the spirit of civil rights and ethics.

The two-member bench comprised Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhary on Wednesday heard the case wherein two men claimed to be the husband of same woman.

The bench said that no judge had the right to guess on the rape case and according to Islamic jurisprudence the presence of four eye witnesses is extremely necessary to prove the charge of rape.

The woman Nasim Akhtar told the court that Muhammad Tariq is her legal husband as she never married to another man Imran. She said that the lower court had sent her to “Dar-ul-Amaan”.

She requested the court that she wanted to go with her father, on which court allowed her father to take her along.
