Summary Northern Titans defeated Coastal Dolphins by seven wickets in South African SuperSport Series.

An unbeaten 102-run partnership between Farhaan Behardien and Martin van Jaarsveld steered Northern Titans to a seven-wicket victory at Coastal Dolphins on Sunday in the South African SuperSport Series. It was a particularly welcome victory that earned 18.76 points for the Pretoria side as they made a poor start to the four-day domestic championship last weekend when losing by six wickets against the visiting Central Knights. The Knights had to settle for a draw this weekend with the Highveld Lions while the Western Cape Cobras and Eastern Cape Warriors launch their campaigns next Thursday after competing at the Champions League Twenty20 tournament in India.Behardien and Van Jaarsveld were each undefeated on 57 when Titans reached their 172-run second-innings target for the loss of three wickets, all of which came from the bowling of Kyle Maharaj.Dolphins, who won the toss and opted to bat the City Oval in KwaZulu capital Pietermaritzburg, were all out for 243 and 288 while a Jacques Rudolph ton steered Titans toward 360 in their first innings. The clash of the Knights and Lions had the feel of draw from the second day as batsmen dominated bowlers with Stephen Cook for the visitors and Obus Pienaar for the home team cracking first-innings tons.Knights were 154 runs behind with four wickets standing after struggling to cope with the hostile bowling of Willie Deacon when play ended at De Beers Oval in Northern Cape diamond city Kimberley.
