LAHORE (Web Desk) - Former South African coach Mickey Arthur has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for some time to respond to its offer of resuming his duties as head coach of the national side again.

According to sources, the South African coach would be able to clear the air over the matter after consulting with the county club. He now has a three-year deal with the English county Derbyshire.

Sources privy to the development said that after communicating with the county club, Mr Arthur would respond to the PCB.

The contracts of Pakistan s current head coach and bowling coach, Saqlain Mushtaq, and Shaun Tait, will be expired on February 9. The PCB s newly-elected chairman of the management committee, Najam Sethi, had suggested that the team might hire a foreign coach.
