(Web Desk) – World Cup 2019 has been full of controversies and eerie comparisons with the past tournament held in 1992 but the final raised a lot of eye brows over ICC rules and the judgement of errors by Umpires that proved too costly, as none of the teams playing the final defeated the other.

The nerve wrecking final between England and New Zealand was followed by millions of cricket fans across continents that ended in a draw after the 50 overs were completed. This took the match to the next stage of the super over in hopes of getting a clear winner.

Both teams fought hard on every ball and it too ended in a draw bringing us to the disenchanting ICC rule book which declared England the winners over the ratio of which team scored the most number of boundaries.

This decision had resulted in a lot of furor over the ridiculous boundary count rule. Not only are fans talking about the way things were decided but cricketers and experts are also voicing their resentment over the manner in which England was declared winners in a match where no team had lost.

Twitter exploded with disappointed tweets by fans at a marvellous game that ended in such an unconvincing and dispiriting manner. Not only fans are pointing out the loopholes but have also started questioning these rules that have dampened their spirits.
