(Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Super League has made a landmark progress over the years. But women cricketers in Pakistan are yet to have their own league.

Women cricketers of Pakistan are determined to have more opportunities to shine in the world of cricket.

Australia and England’s women cricket teams are now ranking top in the world, and owing to that they have greater opportunities to play in various leagues. But Pakistani female cricketers have never been invited to play internationally.

Pakistani women cricketers are now demanding the Pakistan Cricket Board to give more opportunities to young talented cricketers.

On women’s day, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik posted a tweet of hoping to see first female PSL in Pakistan as well.

Speaking to Dunya News, young female cricketers said that women cricketers around the world were way ahead of them.

“If you look at IPL they are way ahead of us. PSL has brought Pakistani cricket back on the map. Such leagues should be introduced for women in Pakistan as well,” said one cricketer.

PCB gives credit to Pakistan Super League for the victory of Pakistani cricket team at Champion’s Trophy. Women cricketers agree that such leagues prepare players to work more hard towards victory.

Women domestic cricket in Pakistan is nonexistent and where there are no opportunities for women to play nationally, there are slim chances for them to shine internationally.
