(Web Desk) – Indian batsman Suresh Raina escaped a road accident while being behind the wheel early Tuesday on his way from Ghaziabad to Kanpur for a Duleep Trophy match.
Indian media reported that the cricketer was travelling in a Range Rover when near Etawah one of the rear tyres burst.
The accident took place at around 02:00am and the athlete was stranded along the roadside for a while until locals informed the police who arranged another vehicle for the remainder of his journey.
Raina was travelling to Kanpur to play one of the matches under Duleep Trophy.
