Summary England, Australia, India and Pakistan landed in his list of semi-finalist for Champions Trophy 2017
(Web Desk) – Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has revealed the list of four teams who will make it to semi-finals. He believes England, Australia and India are the most-definite teams as semi-finalists in ICC Champions Trophy 2017.
Tendulkar named England, Australia, India and Pakistan on his list of teams that will make it to the semis. However, on the matter of whether Pakistan will be a semi-finalists, he responded saying their entry into semi-finals is subject to fielding.
He said Pakistan has 60pc chances of getting into semi-finals if they field well. It was seen in the big match against India that Pakistan dropped two crucial catches, that of Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh, and their ground fielding wasn’t very impressive either.
While interviewing in a video, Tendulkar preferred Pakistan over Sri Lanka in their quarter-final match. He said their fielding was crucial for their success in the tournament. The green shirts were good in the field during South Africa match. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed admitted in the post-match press conference that there fielding made a huge difference in the game.
This implies that one out of these four finalists will go on to win the Champions Trophy.
