Summary Sri Lanka won the ACC Emerging Cup final, beating Pakistan by five wickets to clinch title
CHITTAGONG: (Dunya News) – Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by five wickets on Monday in Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Emerging Cup, confirming the title for the team, reported Dunya News.
The final was played in Chittagong, Bangladesh, where Pakistan team could not even play the total 50 overs and got out 8 overs ahead of the allotted quota, scoring just 133 runs.
Opener Imran Butt scored just 5 runs, Hussain Talat scored 10 only. Bilal Asif scored 11 while the experienced Haris Sohail only scored 3.
Captain Mohammad Rizwan scored 26, Hammad Azam 25 and Usama Mir remained not out with 26 runs.
Chasing the easy target, Sri Lankan opener Samara Vikrama scored 45 runs. The islanders chased down the total in just 24 overs and clinched the title for them. Sameen Gul took 2 wickets, while Ghulam Mudassar, Usama Mir and Zafar Gohar took one wicket apiece.
