Overs 15  I  Score 104/6  I  Darren Sammy 16*, Shahid Afridi 20*

Sohail Khan came into ball the sixth over of the innings and bowled exceptionally well without even conceding a single run in the over. This was the second maiden over of PSL so far. The next over was also bowled exceptionally well by the emerging leggie Usama Mir as he conceded just two runs in the over. Peshawar Zalmi under pressure after the loss of quick wickets!

Sohail also created more frustrations for Peshawar as he removed Tamim of the last ball who was caught behind by Sangakkara.
It looked like Peshawar has lost the script as Iftikhar Ahmad was also caught behind by Sanga of the bowling of Imad. Shakib hit Imad for four more in the same over.

Karachi Kings Innings

Overs 20  I  Score 174/4  I  Shoaib Malik 51*, Keiron Pollard 4*

Sammy brought in Wahab in the sixteenth over as Ravi hits him for four more of the last ball as he played a fine pull-short. Bopara also took the charge in the next over as he picked the ball from Imran Khan and hits a glorious six out of the ground. On the next ball, he whacks another one for six however was caught by Sohaib immediately as the bat took a leading edge of his bat.
Hasan Ali came in the next over as he was given a fair enough beat up by Shaib Malik who scored two boundaries and a six of his over. A total of 17 runs were scored of Hasan’s over.

Shoaib Malik continued with the amazing shots as he hits another huge one for six of the first ball of Imran Khan’s next over. Rests of the deliveries were bowled really well as no further boundaries came of the penultimate over.
Shoaib hits a massive six over the bowler’s head of the third ball of Wahab’s last over of the innings. Moreover, he pulled one away for four more while completing his brilliant fifty in the process. Well Played Malik!

Overs 15  I  Score 109/3  I  Shoaib Malik 12*, Ravi Bopara 12*

The skipper Sangakkara soon departed after the mid-way as he caught by Hasan Ali at long-off of the bowling of Iftikhar Ahmad. Meanwhile, Chris Gayle hit a massive six towards long-on of Afridi’s bowling. Gayle looked to be in mood today for a big innings however was caught ingeniously by Morgan just over the boundary’s edge of the bowling of Iftikhar Ahmad. Shahid Afridi bowled yet another good over as only three runs were scored in the tenth over. Meanwhile, the dangerous Gayle comes into bat as he yet has to make his mark in PSL.

Overs 5  I  Score 45/0  I  Kumar Sangakkara 7*, Babar Azam 38*

Babar Azam and Sangakkara started the proceedings for Karachi Kings as Babar Azam played some glorious shots in the first over while showing his class. This guy is truly a star in the making! In the first over, he hit two boundaries of Hasan Ali’s over while putting pressure on the pacer.

In the second over, apart from hitting a boundary Babar also pulled one away for six and thus providing a good start to Karachi Kings. So far, it has been Babar Azam’s show as he also hit a boundary in the next over of Hasan Ali. The promising boy also took the charge in the fourth over as he hit Shakib for four on the first ball of the over.

On the other hand, Sanga kept in rotating the strike as he gave most of the opportunity to the youngster. The replacement for Junaid Khan in today’s match was Imran Khan who came into ball in the fifth over. Babar hit Imran for four more towards square of the penultimate ball as he completely dominated the first five over of the match.
