COLOMBE (Daily Dunya) – Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by five wickets in International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s World Cup Qualifier at Colombo’s Nondescripts Cricket Club Ground.
As per details, Sri Lanka won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. Pakistan scored 212 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their 50 overs. Nahida Khan and Javeria Khan registered half-centuries, scoring 64 and 63 runs respectively. Sri Lanka’s Inoka Ranaweera and Chamari Polgampola shared two wickets each.
In reply, Sri Lanka chased down the total in 47.4 overs with five wickets to spare. Eshani Lokusuriyage remained top scorer with unbeaten 65 runs and was declared player of the match.
