Summary Sharjeel Khan, Khalid Latif will be provided with opportunity to clear themselves, says PCB chairman
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shahryar Khan has on Wednesday said that the spot-fixing suspects Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif will be provided with the opportunity to clear their position and have been given two weeks to respond to allegations, reported Dunya News.
Sharjeel and Latif appeared before PCB Anti-Corruption Unit at National Cricket Academy in Lahore and presented their side of the story.
PCB Chairman said that the cricketers will be given tough sentences in case crime is proven. He added that the former cricketers’ round-table conference has now been cancelled and he will personally meet the players in their respective cities.
Shahryar said that PCB wanted to hold PSL final in Lahore and the government has been informed about the same. He also thanked army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa for the support and offer for assistance.
