Summary Mohammad Asif is hopeful for a comeback in national team.
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Mohammad Asif claimed that he has the skills to utilize new ball better than any other bowler in Pakistan.
He said that it is very important to take advantage with the new ball earlier in the innings otherwise the opposition cruises away doing huge amount of damage in its home conditions.
“There is no such bowler in the team at the moment who knows this skill”, he said.
Talking to media in National Stadium of Karachi, Mohammad Asif added that he knows all the tricks in the book to make the new ball talk.
Asif is hopeful for a comeback in national team and is ready to give good performance on international platform as well.
He believes that fast bowlers also mature with time like spin bowlers, and become more dangerous with experience.
Asif has turned 34 this year and said he believes more on performance than on age and fitness. He also pointed out that players with ages of forty and above are still playing in the team.
Mohammad Asif said that a player cannot play even domestic cricket if he is not fit.
