Summary Pakistan will also play two ODIs against Ireland after England series

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Two-week long boot camp of centrally contracted cricketers will kick off at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul on Saturday.

35 players are taking part in the training camp. Muhammad Hafeez, Zulfiqar Babar, Imad Wasim and Haris Sohail will not participate owing to injuries however all four players will tour England as members of squad.

Pakistan-England series will start on July 14. The teams will play four Tests, five ODIs and a T20 match. Green shirts will leave for England a month before the series, on June 14.

Pakistan will also play two ODIs against Ireland after England series.

Centrally contracted players underwent fitness tests at National Cricket Academy (NCA) three days ago. However, Test format skipper, Misbahul Haq could not participate for being in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

According to the sources, the Test captain would take part in the camp in Kakul. It was also reported that Misbah has fallen ill following his return to country.

The cricketers are needed to participate in two-week long boot camp at the military academy before a training camp starts in England ahead of the series.
