RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – National cricketers’ boot camp is scheduled to kick off on Saturday at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.

Green shirts would have to undergo fitness tests in supervision of the army. The boys are to meet in Rawalpindi today.

Central contracted players underwent fitness tests at National Cricket Academy (NCA) three days ago. However, Test format skipper, Misbahul Haq could not participate for being in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

According to the sources, the Test captain would take part in the camp in Kakul. It was also reported that Misbah has fallen ill following his return to country.

The cricketers are needed to participate in two-week long boot camp at the military academy before a training camp starts in England ahead of the series.

It should be mentioned here that former skippers Muhammad Hafeez and Shahid Afridi missed their tests at the cricket academy owing to injuries.
