Summary Security team submits report to Ministry of Interior

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Security team that visited India to check the security measures made for the Pakistani team ahead of the T20 World Cup has submitted its findings to the Ministry of Interior, reported Dunya News.

It has been recommended in the report that the T20 match between India and Pakistan that is to be played on March 19, needs to be shifted from Dharamsala to an alternative venue because of security concerns.

The security team has also met with Pakistani High Commissioner in India Abdul Basit and shared their findings. Interior Minster Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan stated that decision regarding sending the cricket team to India or not shall be made on Wednesday. Security team has mentioned that the Pakistani side must not be sent to India without the approval and assurance of safety from the Indian government.

Meanwhile, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minster (CM) Virbhadra Singh stated that despite of all the security measures being made, if ardent protestors emerge on the day of play and try to hamper the game then he along with the police would be able to do nothing.
