An Asian Cup snub has given Afghanistans cricketers even more motivation to win the Twenty20 World Cup qualifying tournament and get another chance to take on the major powers in the sport.The Afghanistan team, which plays on Namibia Thursday with one of two T20 World Cup spots on the line, had hoped recent international success would have been enough to convince the Asian Cricket Council to include them in the continental championship this month.But the Asian Cup was restricted to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and host Bangladesh.Coach Kabir Khan said his Afghan team was upset after being informed that the regions test-ranked nations didnt want to extend the Asian Cup to include them.
