Summary Pakistan will play its first match against Bangladesh on March 12.
Bangladesh will meet Pakistan in the opening match of the four-nation Asia Cup cricket tournament starting from March 12 in Dhaka, an official said.The event was supposed to be held between March 1 and March11, 2012. But it is rescheduled to avoid conflicting with the ODI tri-series in Australia that also included Sri Lanka and India, which ended on March 8.Now the tournament will be played from 11 March to 22 March.The teams in the event are hosts Bangladesh, defending 2010 Asia Cup Champions India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.The Sher-e-Bangla National stadium will host all the matches, including the inaugural tie on March 12 and the final on March22, Asian Cricket Council chief executive Syed Ashraful Huq said.“All teams including India and Pakistan have confirmed their participation,” he told.Asia Cup schedule:March 12: Bangladesh v PakistanMarch 13: India v Sri LankaMarch 15: Pakistan v Sri LankaMarch 16: India v BangladeshMarch 18: India v PakistanMarch 20: Sri Lanka v BangladeshMarch 22: FinalMarch 23: Reserve day
